RUF Automobile Announces North American Headquarters – For more than 80 years, the name RUF has become synonymous with excellence in engineering and design across the automotive world. Now, in 2023, RUF Automobile is proud to announce that the family-owned car manufacturer based in Pfaffenhausen, Bavaria is introducing its new North American headquarters for the German brand on site at The Concours Club. With RUF Automobile celebrated across the world, the new North American headquarters was recently announced with Alois Ruf Jr. present at the exclusive Miami automotive resort during a special annual Porsche gathering called Flat Six Fest.
“RUF Automobile stands for engineering excellence, authenticity, passion, and above all, the thrill of driving,” comments RUF North America President Victor Gomez IV. “Establishing our headquarters in a global destination city like Miami at a special automotive resort like The Concours Club is a perfect base of operations.”
Conveniently located within the Miami Opa-Locka Executive Airport, the new RUF North America headquarters will fully utilize The Concours Club facility for welcoming clients by appointment in order to allow them the opportunity to experience the company’s exclusive vehicles. Vehicle sales, service, parts, and private events will also be held on site for RUF North America clients.

Rising to fame in 1987 when a RUF CTR reached 211 mph, the performance figure shattered the production car top speed world record at the time. Now RUF Automobile engineers its own body and carbon chassis with current models including the CTR Anniversary and SCR. In 2017, RUF reintroduced the legendary CTR name with a special anniversary edition car composed of state-of-the-art carbon monocoque which achieved a top speed of 225 mph.

In 1939, Alois Ruf Sr. first formed his company, AUTO RUF, as a general service garage. The company grew and in 1949 he added a gas station to the company complex. By 1955, Ruf Sr. recognized a need in Germany for a full-size tourist bus and challenged himself to build his own to run as a separate business. In 1963, the company began specializing in Porsche vehicles, a direction that Alois Ruf Jr. vowed to continue when he assumed leadership of the company in 1974.
